Bengaluru-based EV startup Simple Energy is on a record-breaking streak, having crossed 1,000 electric scooter sales in October 2025 and exceeded its FY2024–25 revenue by a massive 125%.
The milestone highlights Simple Energy’s rapid ascent in India’s growing electric two-wheeler market, powered by robust demand, expanded production, and a growing national retail presence.
Record-Breaking Sales and Expansion
In October 2025 alone, Simple Energy sold 1,050 units of its Simple ONE Gen 1.5 and Simple OneS models — marking its best monthly performance to date.
According to Vahan data, 974 units were registered across India (excluding Telangana), while 76 units were sold in Telangana.
To meet the surging demand, Simple Energy has increased production capacity by 40% at its 2,00,000 sq. ft. Hosur facility in Tamil Nadu.
Simultaneously, the company has strengthened its marketing and operations capabilities — expanding its marketing team to over 40 professionals as it moves toward an ambitious goal of 150 retail stores and service centres by March 2026.
The Rise of Simple ONE Gen 1.5 and OneS
The Simple ONE Gen 1.5 and Simple OneS, launched in early 2025, have quickly captured the attention of EV enthusiasts for their combination of range, design, and performance.
-
Simple ONE Gen 1.5: Industry-leading IDC range of 248 km
-
Simple OneS: Practical range of 181 km, designed for daily commuters
This success is further fueled by customer satisfaction and an expanding retail footprint across India’s key cities.
CEO Speaks: Building Trust and Scale
“Surpassing last year’s revenue by over 125% in just seven months and crossing the 1,000-unit mark reflects the strong trust customers have placed in Simple Energy,”
said Suhas Rajkumar, Founder and CEO of Simple Energy.“Every milestone — from scaling production and expanding our team to broadening our store and service centre footprint — is part of a deliberate plan to strengthen the company and serve our customers better. As we move toward 150 stores by March 2026, we remain focused on innovation, accessibility, and trust.”
A First in India: Heavy Rare-Earth-Free Motors
In September 2025, Simple Energy became India’s first OEM to commercially manufacture heavy rare-earth-free motors.
This pioneering move eliminates dependence on rare-earth materials while maintaining the same high performance and torque characteristics — a significant sustainability milestone for India’s EV manufacturing ecosystem.
Growing Retail Presence Across India
With 61 operational outlets across major cities including Bengaluru, Goa, Vijayawada, Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Kochi, Chennai, Agra, and Jaipur, Simple Energy is fast becoming a nationwide brand.
The company is now gearing up to enter five new markets — Delhi, Bhopal, Patna, Ranchi, and Bhubaneswar — as part of its next phase of expansion.
The Road Ahead
From record-breaking revenue growth to pioneering manufacturing innovations, Simple Energy is emerging as a frontrunner in India’s electric mobility revolution.
With an expanding product lineup, sustainable technology, and a growing retail footprint, the company is well-positioned to accelerate India’s shift toward cleaner, smarter transportation.
