Rivian has released its 4th quarter and full-year 2025 production and delivery figures. There’s nothing particularly exciting or uplifting about them. They’re very meh. However, 2026 should look much different.

In the 4th quarter, Rivian scored 9,745 deliveries, and it produced 10,974 vehicles. Across the full year, the company had 42,247 deliveries and produced 42,284 vehicles.

Of course, Rivian just sells the large and expensive R1T pickup truck and R1S SUV as well as its EDV delivery vans. You’re never going to achieve very high volumes with large, expensive vehicles. However, Rivian aims to get going on mass production of a more mid-market vehicle in 2026 — the R2. This could be the big game-changer for Rivian, the transformational mass market EV that millions of people eventually drive.

We’ll have to see. Getting production going and then scaling up mass production are very hard tasks. But I’m hopeful. And even more than the R2, I look forward to the day Rivian gets the R1 into production and then showrooms. That small electric crossover is the one that most appeals to me.

If you want to get into Rivian’s numbers further, here more information from the company on what’s coming next month: “The company also announced that on February 12th, 2026, after market close, it will release its fourth quarter and full year 2025 financial results. Rivian will host an audio webcast at 5:00 p.m. ET the same day to discuss the performance and outlook for the business. The live webcast will be available at https://rivian-q4-earnings-webcast-2025.open-exchange.net/registration and a replay will be available for four weeks at www.rivian.com/investors following the webcast.”
