Luxeed, the automotive brand jointly developed by Huawei and Chery, will begin pre-sales of updated versions of its S7 pure electric sedan and R7 coupe SUV on August 8, marking the start of a full model refresh for its two models.

Luxeed announced the plan today on its social media channels, with both updated models set to debut the brand’s new logo.

The brand has not mentioned the official launch date for these two updated models, but according to local media LatePost, this will be in September.

They will all be equipped with Huawei’s ADS 4 smart driving system, with standard features including a 192-channel roof-mounted LiDAR, rear-facing high-precision solid-state LiDAR, and 4D millimeter-wave radars.

Luxeed launched the Luxeed S7 pure electric sedan, its first model, on November 28, 2023.

The sedan faced challenges during its initial launch, including production shortages. In April 2024, Huawei relaunched the S7 at one of its product events, lowering its prices.

On September 24, 2024, Luxeed rolled out its second model, the Luxeed R7, which is the first coupe SUV under Huawei’s HIMA (Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance) business.

The Luxeed R7 was initially available only in battery electric vehicle (BEV) variants. On December 19 last year, Luxeed added extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) variants to the R7 lineup.

The Luxeed S7 is currently available only in BEV variants, with starting prices of RMB 229,800 ($32,000), RMB 269,800, and RMB 319,800.

The three BEV variants of the Luxeed R7 currently have starting prices of RMB 259,800, RMB 299,800, and RMB 339,800.

The three EREV variants of the SUV are currently priced at RMB 249,800, RMB 289,800, and RMB 319,800.
