- The Aito M6 is expected to target the RMB 250,000 ($35,180) segment family SUV market, according to a local media report.
- Aito will launch a facelifted M9 next year and introduce a longer-wheelbase M9L variant.

Aito, a brand jointly developed by Huawei and Seres (HKG: 9927), plans to launch its new SUV model, the Aito M6, in the second quarter of 2026, according to a report today by local media outlet LatePost.
The Aito M6 is expected to target the RMB 250,000 ($35,180) segment of the family SUV market, the report said.
The new model will offer both battery electric vehicle (BEV) and extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) versions, aligning with Aito’s strategy for its other models, the report said.
Aito is the first brand under Huawei’s HIMA (Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance) business. Its currently available models — the M5, M7, M8, and M9 — are all SUVs.
The M5 is Aito’s most affordable model, currently priced between RMB 229,800 and RMB 249,800.
LatePost’s report marks the first mention of the M6 and raises questions about the M5’s future.
The M6 will not replace the M5, which will continue to undergo iterative updates, LatePost cited a source close to Seres as saying.
Based on naming conventions, the M6 is expected to be priced above the M5 but below the M7 — which starts at RMB 279,800.
Following its September update, the M7 saw a price increase targeting the RMB 300,000 segment, creating a price gap for the M6, LatePost noted.
Beyond the M6, Aito will launch a facelifted M9 next year alongside a longer wheelbase M9L variant, according to LatePost.
This will further expand Aito’s product lineup, covering the RMB 200,000 to RMB 500,000 price range, the report noted.
The Aito M9 ranks among China’s most successful large SUVs, currently starting at RMB 469,800.

The Aito M9, one of the highest-priced models from a Chinese automaker, now offers 4-, 5-, and 6-seat configurations.
